Lisa (Lee Lee) Dolan was born in Brooklyn and is the proud daughter of a New York City firefighter. She was trained as a graphic artist and had several diverse careers before starting her own Web site design company.

But fashion always was a consuming passion and it called to her. As a plus-sized woman, she struggled to find fashion-forward clothing that was not the same old-lady clothes. She finally decided that the only way to get the clothes she needed was to open her own store. Her boutique, Lee Lee’s Valise, opened in Brooklyn on May 5, 2007 and was an immediate smash. She has brought in the best of the plus-size industry by featuring the most fashion-forward styles at every price point. Lee Lee also designs her own styles, produced in very limited cuts, which have sold out because of both the fit and the fabric. Since she started, Lee Lee has styled thousands of women.
