You have made a wonderful point about artificial sweeteners, if only they would listen! I, too try to inform the public on the dangers of these sweeteners and the sad truth about the pharmaceutical companies. One of the most upsetting facts is that artificial sweeteners can not only cause cancer, but brain damage as well. These findings were especially true for children. I have warned my sister about the danger of giving her daughter diet sodas, but her dentist recommended it so they think they should listen to the doctor. I think they need another opinion. So, what's the solution? You already said a mouthful when you said moderation. It is the main key to good health.

I am with the NO SPLENDA group! The FDA has proven that the welfare of the PUBLIC is not their main Focus, but former crony's who are now on the board of these HUGE pharmacal companies that make "Artificial Sweetners/Sugar Alternatives/etc." You may as well use White sugar, but in moderation. I prefer the Natural sweetners such as Stevia, Maple Sugar, Brown Rice Syrup, etc. The recipes are great without any added sweetners, but if you must, why not Natural Fruit Juices? That's all I am saying.
