Continuing with Boot Week l want to talk about the third boot that I purchased that really works!  Best of all it’s a dress boot with a 3” heel. Holidays are coming up….and that everyday boot may not cut it. This dress boot is from WideWidths.com. The Maine- Sexy Extra Wide Calf Boot by Ros Hommerson in black suede.
 
This dress boot is perfect for a night out or event. It has an extra wide calf circumference with a range of 17 1/2" (for a size 6) to 19 3/4" (for a size 12). Again, it has a 3” heel and a 15” shaft height. What is great about this boot is that is has a more tapered shaft that most other wide calf boots and it is more fitted from the ankle through the top of the shaft. This works for me because like many women I have a shapely leg but it’s just larger. These boots have a cushioned insole. You would think with a 3” heel they may be uncomfortable…but I wore them for over eight hours the first time out! $199.99

Not everyone needs the extra wide calf. Some of you just need a large shoe size. I found a great dress boot from one of my favorite companies Via Spiga that goes up to size 12. This is the boot you can wear to your business Holiday party or when you are on the go during the upcoming holiday season. The Via Spiga Shanti is available in suede or leather. The circumference of the boot is 14 ½ inches with a shaft height of 15” with a 3 ½ “heel. Available for $297.95. (as pictured in wine)

Remember when purchasing your boots online it is vital that you have all your measurements. Your shoe size as well as your calf size. Nothing is worse than the anticipation of getting a great pair of boots and then finding that they don’t fit. So take the extra time to measure yourself carefully.

Here is a Boot Trick that I found be very helpful!!!! You put your foot in the boot. You zipper it up halfway. Then slouch the boot down and continue the zipper to the top. Then pull the boot up to your knee. Viola!!
