The only equipment you need is a good pair of shoes. Look for good cushioning for your heels and toes and a tight fit that supports your instep but leaves wiggle room for your toes. Tune in tomorrow when we'll take our first steps together. —Leslie Sansone

I am allergic to wheat, soy and rye, so my choices of breads is very limited. I love the stuff. However I have learned to make lettuce wraps instead. It won't stop the craving for bread entirely, but it makes a great sandwich! But why not explore various kinds of bread and use just one slice, cutting calories/carbs elsewhere? Some of the marvelous seed/nut breads give you loads of vitamins and other good stuff that you body needs. Just limit yourself to one slice per day or 3 per week or something like that and increase activity to compensate. I find doing those heavy chores like cleaning the garage, climbing a ladder to clean the gutters, gardening, etc. more than make up for the extra carbs.
