Day 1 Assignment: The Perfect Fit

Welcome to the Step Up to Slim Down body makeover program! In the next 30 days, you will receive daily walking workouts that will get you on the path towards weight loss success. Check your profile page daily for your walking assignment and be sure to check off each once you've finished.

The only equipment you need is a good pair of shoes. Look for good cushioning for your heels and toes and a tight fit that supports your instep but leaves wiggle room for your toes. Tune in tomorrow when we'll take our first steps together. —Leslie Sansone

My motivation came in the form of a picture.  I had my husband take a picture of me in my workout capri's and my sports bra.  CAN YOU SAY ARRRGGGHHHH!  I have that picture posted on my fridge, my bathroom mirror and in my car.  Each time I lose 10 lbs, I post a new picture next to the old one.  It's helping me to keep going and to remember, baby steps.  Your weight didn't come over night, it's not going away overnight.

Be strong, make that time to walk.  Trust me, you will persevere.  You CAN do this.  You WILL do this!

I did my usual Spring sprint/walk today.  It apears I did 2 miles (40 min.) at a brisk pace around the neighborhood.  It really helps to have the time factor and about area covered so I know what I am doing.  I plan to work up to a jog of 40 min. or 2 miles this Spring.  Wish me luck!
