Before you set foot in the grocery store, make a list—it will prime the rational side of your brain (and help you breeze past the cookie aisle). Online shoppers who made a list and ordered groceries at least five days in advance selected healthier fare, a study from Harvard notes.

That is true, no to go shopping when you are hungry!
And do not go to a fast food restaurant after you just went shopping!
I used to be guilty of that, me and my hubby will go shopping for healthy food and then after leaving the store we will be stopping at a fast food restaurant. Lol!

Now we try not to do it.

Good advice - I never go inside a grocery store without a specific list of what I must walk out with!
