Aspertame should be used in limit. As for me, I am a diabetic and take "equal" only in tea/coffee 2 tabs in one cup of tea) and I consume only 2 cups of tea per day. No using much of aspertame. Sweet dishes shoulod be avoided. Only once a week with limited equal) to satisfy your taste buds. There are plenty of other foods to choose from and have liking for it to forget your sweet tongue. I have to be very careful not to eat anything with aspartame in it as it makes my heart beat to fast. So, it's hard for me too, to find foods that are low in sugar and fat. I eat the good fat as much as I can.

I agree, Slebko. I'm so disappointed that aspartame seems to be in so many foods. I see a doctor of nutrition and he said it's healthier to eat the fat than the fat substitutes and aspartame. Moderation is the key.

A lot of the non-fat products are made with aspartame. I have done some research on aspartame and find the health problems attributed to the use of this product are not worth it. Are there non-fat brands that don't use aspartame? What are your thoughts on the use of it?
