I will be forty four in a couple of weeks. In 2000 I was diagnosed with MS and put on disability, in 2003 I quit smoking, in 2005 I had a health issue that required me to go onto pregnisone and by January 2006 I was over 200 pounds. (I am just under 5'2") I lost about forty pounds in 2006 but ten came back and I have been struggling to lose it. On June 4 my doctor prescribed Meridia for me and within a week I have lost ten pounds. I have drastically curtailed my calorie intake and I am working out two to four hours a day. (not all at once but in one hour segments)

I realize that this is not going to continue that the loss will slow down and I am fine with that. I am currently 165 pounds and I want to weigh 125 or 130. I come from good peasant stock and have a sturdy build so there is no way I am aiming to be really thin. I also know that I am going to have to come up with a plan to keep the weight off when I finish losing but I have a few months yet to worry about that.

It sounds  like you may be  dangerously close to  an eating  disorder. You sound like you have obsessive compulsivce  disorder and possibly  serious depression.  I wouldn't  be surprised  that you are in fact , thin, if you gave us your  height and weight. Anorexia is no joke.  it kills  girls like you .  I cannot  telll you how debilitating it is.  I encourage your mom to find a specialist in eating disorders and have you checked out.

I've been struggling with my weight all my life.  My story is the same as everyone else's.  My problem is that every year, I just keep getting bigger and bigger.  Since marrying my husband 12 years ago, I have gained 80lbs.  I can't keep using my pregnancies as an excuse for my weight gain, because my youngest is 5 years old!!  I binge eat EVERY DAY!!!  My eating starts at 10am, and i continue until I go to bed.  Even if i feel ill, i still manage to eat whatever is around!!  I need some words of encouragement, or some advice from ANYONE!!!  I feel absolutely out of control, and I'm seriously scared for my life!!  It's not fun being 225lbs, and I want to have a more active role in my kids life.  Can someone please help me???
