hey . im a twelve year old girl obviously going through many changes. Im really proud of myself becuz ive lost about 12 pounds in only a few months. Biggest Loser has to be the most important TV show ever in my entire life. I know it's unrealistic that they lose so much weight in one week because they are exercising extreme amounts per day. Every time Bob or Jillian talk, I make sure to listen closely because, they may be harsh on the contestants, but they do mention very wise things. I personally feel anyone can lose weight if they have the mental ability. I am a competition gymnast of 3 years and have been playing traveling soccer for my entire life. I went through mental breakdowns with both of lose, but managed to keep exercising important in my life. thanks(:

Hi Ernest, that is TOTALLY AWESOME!
Being 10 has a lot of challenges, and, even harder when your overweight.
Losing 171/2 pounds is fantastic, and your goal weight is right on. I think the toughest part of trying to lose weight is all the temptation's you face from friends. The snacks and other foods they are allowed to eat will usually be high in sugar and in sodium, both of which are not good for you.
Try to always have a snack with you, there are many yummy choices out there, and you would be surprised at some of the things you can eat and still lose weight..everything from ice cream(FROZEN YOGURT) to cookies and cakes (There are 100 calorie packs of many snack foods out there...not to mention all the fruit you could ever hope to eat.)
Also, keep moving. The best way to lose weight is exercise, but even that doesn't have to be a chore, and most of it can be fun. (If you like DDR, or Wii fitness you know what I'm talking about)
Ernest, remember one thing though..you are still a growing boy, and soon to be man, so your weight loss will come back, however, you should not let the scale determine all things for you. Here's a few things to check.
1. How do you feel? If you feel good, then your doing it right.
2. How do you look? If you are slimming down, defining your muscles, your doing it right.
3. Do your clothes fit better or are loose? Then again, you are doing it right.
If your positive on all of those, then congratulation's are yours. I hope you continue to stay on this path, and I hope you have some workout buddies to share in this, working out with your friends especially makes things funner. Also, working out with your family brings you all closer!
Have a healthy day Ernest, and be good to others who are overweight, maybe you losing will encourage and inspire them as well!
