Palak(keera\any greens )with dhal (lentils)


Ingredients


Half cup lentils(mixed is good)


A cup of shredded greens.


1\4 tsp Turmeric powder


1 tsp of chillie powder


Salt to taste


For the seasoning:


1tbs of oil


1\2 tsp of whole mustard


1\2 tsp cummin


1 whole red chiillie


a few curry leaves


a pinch asfateda


Method


Soak the lentils in water for half and hour. Add the masalas and cok till it softens. Add salt an the greens. Stir and cook till the grens wilt.Poue into a dish.


Heat the oil. Add the mutard seeds and when they crackle add the broken red chillie, the curry leaves and the cummin seeds. Put in the asfateda and pour this over the lentil \greens mixture. Serve hot with steamed rice and roasted papad.


I dunno the calorie count and so on. This should be enough for  two hungry people
