Denise Austin!!
She has a vcr tape that is just stretching. She recommends doing this on Saturday and Sundays.
She also has a low impact aerobic tape which is really good. I find I'm sweating at the end but I can still walk for the next two days as opposed to a Bob or Jillian tape from the Biggest Loser.
She also has a series of 'hot spot' tapes. They work one section of your body at a time. Arms and Abs, Hips and Thighs, Butt, Legs, etc. They are 10 minute tapes. You could do a different one each day. This would be a good starting point to just get you going.
I don't know if you can find them in the store...maybe on Amazon, but I bought mine from someone on e-Bay for next to nothing.

This costs nothing to become fitter & healthier.
I was overweight & in my forties & going through menopause. I hated gyms & couldn't afford the gym fees even if I wanted to. Armed with determination, a phone or ipod with earphonesI'd plug them in ,turn it on & go. It worked for me, so why not for you.
I lost 22kgs in 8 months from daily walking. Istarted off at 4 km walks & over the next 8 months gradually got up to 20 km walks that took 3 hours of my day. I now regulary walk between 10-15km daily. I dont have a car so I applied for a job that took me 30 mins at a fast pace to walk to & from work each way so I always get my exercise in. I never feel tempted to get a bus as I know that is cheating & I will only get out of my day what I put into it.
I always try to better my time but can never get it down lower than 27 minutes. It is uphill for part of the way so that makes me work harder. It is the best way to start your day. It then becomes habit & you don't think of it as exercise but part of your daily routine.
Give it a go. Start off by going round the block then expand as you become fitter. Once you see the weight comimg off, that is your reward for giving up the sugary foods that ad to our hips, thighs, tummy & buttocks. you will see, its not that hard. I found it sort of snowballed. Once your friends start noticing the new you & complimenting you on what you are doing you will try to encourage them to do it as I am incouraging you now. Witin 4 weeks you should see a difference in how your clothes fit. I first saw it after only 2 weeks. Good luck to all who are willing to try.
One last tip. Lower your sugary food intake &.swap from fullcream milk to lowfat milk so then if your hungry try drinking half a glass of lowfat milk. that will fill the hunger pang till mealtime.

I have read so many inspiring tips on this forum, here are a few more. I just began my workout routine, I have purchsed Leslie Sanson's Walk a Mile DvD ($15 ) @ Wal-mart. I have had several injuries and three surgeries on my left knee, which has limit my walking, so often times, I will use a chair if the routine becomes too much for me to stand, I get the same results as if I were standing. I wish everyone luck on their journey towards becoming healthy.

I have the same problem with a painful knee. If you have access to a pool. Water aerobics is a great way to exercise without putting strain on joints.

I don't know what they cost, but you might try a Richard Simmons work out CD. His routines seem to go at a slower pace. I know what you mean about most. They go so fast you can't learn the steps. Good Luck.
