I totally understand where you are coming from.  I was addicted to Diet Pepsi.  For years I drank a lot of it.    I could get a big 32 oz coffee mug of it for 25 cents at the corner Maverick store.  I was very, very poor back then with 2 kids.  But, I had to have my diet Pepsi.  Mostly, I did it with Pepsi out of the fountain because it didn't have aspertame as other diet sodas had.  It contained saccharine which really isn't as bad as the "newer" supposedly "good and safe" sweeteners.  However, it contains more junk than a sweetener.  If desperate I would get it in the can anyway.  Well, I am now 72 and have weighed as much as 200 pounds.  I now weigh 183.  my BMI is 34.57. 


Now, I have a 12 oz of coffee in the morning.  The rest of the day I just drink ice water.  I like it right out of the kitchen faucet with ice or in the winter I don't need ice.  I try to drink at least 8 glasses a day.


Also, are you aware of how apple cider vinegar helps with weight loss?  I am using it now and am losing.   It must be the kind with "mother" in it.  I use Braggs from the health food store.  I understand that Trader Joe's also has a good one.  Some recommend taking it with honey.  I figure honey is just more calories so I use Stevia.  OR I just put a tablespoon in a glass of water and drink it like that without sweetening. I also do a health bounce on my ReBoundAire minitramp for 15-20 min.  1/2 hour on my stationary bike and 15 minutes of my Swingmaster chi machine. 


I was not a fat child.  I was probably one on the skinniest in my school.  I was 21 years old before I weighed 100 pounds.  I never had to watch what I ate.  Then I joined a church that ate every time they had a meeting or function.  It was mostly simple carbs.  I began to gain weight.  So, watch who you hang out with.  Don't  shun or make fun of fat people because there is a slender person inside each and every one of them.

I was addicted to Diet Pepsi, I really believe its something in the pop. I've been clean for about 8 months.hehehe  It took 3 real hard months to stop drinking it. I was achy, headaches and feeling  crappy. Now I feel better than I ever have, I love bubbles so I drink soda water , Sometimes add lemon or lime or a splash of juice. This really helped me kick the habit.
Even still now once in a while I go tor grab a 1L at the store..lol

Ps I dropped the ball a couple times over this last 8 months..It tasted like gold but I felt sick after and threw it up both times..weired..Guess my body didnt want it..
