Healthy Dollar Snacks

Quick "100-Calorie" Pack
Getting trail mix from a vending machine will cost you at least one dollar. Buying those cute 100-calorie packs gets expensive (and it still doesn’t fill you up). Try making your own. Combine your favorite nuts, raisins and cereal (if you have it) and put into a small ziplock bag for a snack on the go. Remember 4 tablespoons of cereal, 2 tablespoons of raisins and 1 tablespoon of nuts will be about 165 calories, more or less, depending on your ingredients.
Cost per serving: $1.14 per snack pack

What a great reference! Eating healthy can be intimidating b/c of the cost; it's nice to know you can do it for less.
