Change We Can Believe In
Losing weight is so easy, right? Just eat veggies for dessert, skip lunch hour, and poach a personal chef from the local health spa. Scrapping a lifetime of eating habits—especially ones that we all enjoy—is unrealistic. Our expert Dr. Brian Wansink asked 2,000 people to make one of 20 small, manageable changes and see whether they lost weight and felt better after one month. Here’s what worked—and what flopped.

hey dear,
your story of struggle and win post accident is very inspiring.watever you r doing fr wt loss ia grt and minding the diet is also fine. What may be you need to do more is pranayam,or deep breathing exercises called kapal bhati, anulom vilom and bhastrika to make you feel absolutely fit and fine and in control of self.it generates not only feel fud factor but actually cuts abdominal fat,
The logic behind is that pranayam increases the oxygen content in the blood which effectively alters the brain chemistry into most efficient mode thereby revving up the sluggish metabolism.
ok
take care
wid lotsa warmth,enu

I am sorry that you are having difficulties. I am 67 and a type 2 diabetic and I too have weight issues. I try to keep my eating habits in control because I inject insulin four times a day, and hope to cut down on those times one day in the future! I find that when my blood sugar is out of control I am hungry all the time and can't seem to feel satisfied. You may want to check your blood sugar levels to see if you are in good control. Also, you may want to talk with a diabetes nutritionist who can advise you as to the foods that will help you feel satisfied and the amounts of them you can have--also, I find that a tall glass of cold, cold water or a cup of tea during the times I feel hungry helps--especially if it is a tea that I really like, and I use tic tacs or altoids to help stave off what I think are false hunger pangs. These two items have few carbs if used in moderation. have you ever considered that weight gain or your being hungry may be related to the medications that you take? Stick with it. You will overcome the weight issues.
