Eating Less Calories at Lunchtime

Stacey K., NeverySayDiet User

I think it's easier to eat healthy after work. I always plan what I'm going to eat for dinner right after I eat lunch, basically when I'm not hungry. This is because when I am hungry and start to plan a meal, I always find myself planning pretty unhealthy dinners. Therefore, I always stick to my dinner plan when I make it during the day with a full stomach. I go to the store (if needed) and buy the ingredients. Usually it's a grilled or baked lean meat and veggies. My trick: I always make too much, purposely. I bring the leftovers to work and have a yummy, homemade and low calorie meal for lunch. What could be better?

I'm the complete opposite. I eat light during the day before the dinner meal. I usually have a non-fat yogurt or applesauce & hard boiled egg white in the mornings followed by salad with an once of lean meat, fruit and non-fat dressing for lunch. Afternoon snack is usually a hot cup of tea, sugar-free coca or coffee with a few nuts and another piece of fruit. That way I can go home and enjoy a nice dinner with pasta or whatever I want and not feel like I've blown the entire day.
