Fruit for Thought

Haily Cohen
Hometown: Philadelphia, PA

I find that fruit is a great way to keep your energy up during the day as well as keep you satisfied without crashing and craving sweets. For people like me who have an insatiable sweet tooth, I am always craving chocolate and candy. But these are the snacks that are worst for the waistline and make your blood sugar crash. I find that fruit helps tide my craving for chocolate and candy and keeps my energy up during the day so I can complete all my daily tasks.

I find that eating fruit at the end of my lunch, is more filling/satisfying for me than eating it with my lunch.  After my fruit, I rinse my plate and walk away for a few minutes.  That way I don't reach for the chips to get my "crunchy" fix.

Greetings, I am new on this site. SilverLady  is usually my on-line name because of the grey in my hair. Grey because I am a very senior citizen, but need to eat healthy.  This is a terrific site!  Thanks Cyndi for the great tip!
