What a Waist
Karolina Starczak
Eating healthier, smaller portions may be the way to a flatter tummy, but who doesn’t feel guilty about wasting food? My biggest problem was always the guilt I felt when I left food on my plate. Everyone has had their parents tell them to finish their dinner because there are children starving all over the world. One day a dear friend of mine said to me “What’s worse—wasting food or wasting the chance to look amazing?” Never again did I feel guilty about leaving food on my plate.

i felt good after i've this post because i have the same reason in finishing my plate and not waste food. that is there are a lot of people starving to death just to eat and on the other hand, i've never thought to use a small plate for my food so i can eat less and at the same time not waste food. i just laughed at myself. haha. :)

This should never be a problem; there is absolutely no need to ever waste food:
-- At home, simply use small portions and refrigerate the leftovers for later in the week. -- At buffets or receptions, only take a little of what you want to eat. -- And in restaurants, ALWAYS take leftovers home. It really cuts your food bill, too!
An easy way to avoid over-eating in any of these situations is to drink a large glass of water before any meal; and/or have a low-cal snack -- a sliced apple or an orange, in sections, for example -- and eat it slowly, piece by piece, so you're not starving when you sit down to eat.

I know this is a wacky idea....but feng shui masters have said that orange and red colours can boost your appetite. Maybe avoiding these colours when painting your dining room might help. Another suggestion is to place a mirror on the wall facing you while you're eating. Since one becomes self-concious in front of a mirror, we might eat less than usual.( I heard it takes care of table manners too-but not on small children.)
Instead of the popular belief, I've heard that you should actually place ALL you would eat in that meal on your plate, rather than taking it in small portions. You see, the visual stimulus from the larger portions of food might actually trick your brain into believing you're eating a lot (even though you're just taking what you usually eat -lumped together), and regulate the amount of hormones that whet your hunger. In other words, you feel less hungry.
Of course, please remember that you should NOT pile more on your plate than your usual intake. Just take what you usually do, and this will help you to KEEP TRIM. ( which means it doesn't actually make you any slimmer, it just prevents you from putting on weight- sorry to disappoint you.)
I don't know about you, but this actually worked for me- it curbed my urges for ice-cream. Now that's cool!
Lastly, everyone has different needs, so what works for me may not necessarily work for you-if it does, so much the better; but if it doesn't, don't lose hope and keep on looking for your perfect solution. Thanks for listening to me natter and ciao!

i never eat a lot of food. i think eating a plenty of food it is a bad habit. i alway satisfiy my hungry with fruets and chocolate seldom with milk products and when you accostom to this way it easier not to think everytime about food.some people has a habit that when they feel jitters they eat more food without a control but with me just on the contrary.i think every person is the individual and there are no rules in nature which may be used by everyone.
